Jamie, Local Artist
Jamie is an artist of the Fresno-area and she is excited to be teaching at Allard’s! Jamie’s art activities and lessons are influenced by her time working in museums and art education centers, and she enjoys leading projects that are inspired by nature, artists of the past and present, and the environments we live in. When teaching lessons on techniques or mediums, she also encourages students to make choices that allow them to make the project their own. As a practicing artist, Jamie often works in mixed-media drawing and painting, and she has exhibited her work at ArtHop and beyond. She received her BA in Studio Art and her MFA in Visual Art from Azusa Pacific University.

Sherrina Hansen, Local Artist
Hey there, I'm Sherrina, a creative soul and child of God on a wild artistic ride. My go-to tools? Well, pretty much anything that lets me bring something to life – be it fire, ink, glass, canvas, plaster, paint, wax, my trusty cricut, or just a good ol' ballpoint pen and paper. You name it, I've probably tried it. One time I even used my daughter-in-law's pregnant belly as a canvas (cutest pumpkin ever)!
My art journey started way back when I learned how to hold a crayon, and it really took off when I realized I could ditch the coloring lines and draw my own path. Conventions? Nah, not my thing. I thrive on breaking boundaries and exploring the uncharted.
Life happened, and I put my art on pause to raise a family. Fear crept in, and I let it hold me back for a while. But I'm over it (mostly) and ready for a fresh adventure. My creations aren't just about aesthetics; they're stories that capture a rollercoaster of emotions. In the messiness, I find beauty. Let's connect on this journey. I'm here to inspire you, to encourage you, and to help you find and celebrate the beauty in your own life. Together, let's fearlessly dive into the future, armed with creativity and a passion for the unexpected.
