We will explore ideas and concepts relating to anime design and what makes it unique. We will go over stylization, simple anatomy and how they use drapery to describe form in an easy to learn way
We will study anatomy in a way that can be used to enhance our designs. Knowing basic surface anatomy can help an artist better understand the underlying structure of what they are drawing. We will study and draw from the masters in these 3 weeks and see how we can use shape and tone to describe complex forms.
Would you love to explore mixed media capabilities to create appealing art "Putting Color and Life into your art?" Michael’s mentor - who he studied with, and still does today, always told him, "Do what you can, where you're at, with what you have."
Michael will demonstrate to students how to bring a drawing to a finish using different mediums, oil pastels with markers or colored pencil with watercolor as options. Plus we'll explore digital drawing, bring your laptops or tablets!
